Abstract:
The objectives of this study are to identify the components influencing Second Language Acquisition, determine whether there is any difference in terms of gender or income. Motivation, language aptitude, learning strategies, learning styles, and anxiety are considered components that significantly impact somebody during the time spent their second language securing and are included in the proposed model. Specialists express that those elements give an increasingly predominant commitment in Second Language Acquisition to students variedly, rely upon who the students are, their age, how they act toward the language, their psychological capacity, and how they learn. Besides, concentrating a second language is a pattern now, which can assist individuals with having more chances to study and work globally. The research method is quantitative research (survey - using questionnaire). The sample size of the survey is 300, with respondents studying at FPT University Ho Chi Minh City. The key findings of this paper include that only four factors are influencing Second Language Acquisition, which are Motivation, Language Aptitude, Learning Styles, and Anxiety. In addition, while other factors affect positively, Anxiety has a negative effect on Second Language Acquisition. Finally, some managerial implications for FPT University Ho Chi Minh City are suggested in Chapter 5 of the paper.
